It’s almost Thanksgiving! This means two things: it’s the perfect occasion to express gratitude for those around us, and the end of the year is quickly approaching. After all, 2024 has been an interesting year for all of us in real estate, but the BBS Notary team is thankful for all our partners and customers who have this year a good one.
So, what is gratitude? We’re glad you asked! Showing you’re thankful is more than just uttering words. Here are four ways to step up your gratitude game this month and beyond.
Be sure actually to say thank you. We know. It sounds easy, but it’s often a step that’s skipped. While we just said that actions speak louder than words, make sure you’re actually saying thank you, too. Want to take it to the next level? Consider a hand-written note that will resonate and cut through all the digital noise of today’s world.
Don’t forget about those around you most. You’re probably already crafting a list of people worthy of your appreciation, but do not overlook those most deserving of praise. We’re talking about your colleagues and other internal staff members. After all, teamwork makes the dream work.
Start planning your education classes now. We’re now into the gift portion of this blog. One of the most valuable services you can provide as a real estate expert is sharing your knowledge and insights with others. Most of us both attend and facilitate several educational events each year, and 2025 will be no different. Start sharing topics you want to inform your customers and partners about, and let them know you’d love to see them there. You can even tell them their presence is the only gift needed. The bonus is that you’ll reinforce yourself as a thought leader by having the most publicized and best planned seminars in the area.
Leave a positive review for someone deserving. Normally, these lists end with advice that a physical token of gratitude is key, but here’s our spin on that. Providing a customer testimonial or review is a great way to show how much you appreciate a fellow real estate professional or local small business. We’ve talked about the importance of online reviews before, so this is a great way to help strengthen the brand of someone you trust and rely on. After all, sharing is caring.
